As a UK bride I was really stressed over the idea of trying to find a suitable HMUA for my elopement without meeting them or having the opportunity for a trial in advance. After researching various companies and freelancers I felt most confident in choosing Make up in the 702. Meg (creative director) is amazing with communication, answering all questions and queries you may have. She explained the process in how HMUAs are allocated to you including depending on what your end goal is, and Sofia was my chosen HMUA for the day. In the run up to the wedding I was able to ask Meg any questions and received a prompt response even with the time zone differences, and in the final couple of weeks received guidance videos on how to be best prepared for the day, contact information for the artist etc and more things to help keep things as stress free as possible! On the day, Sofia eased my nerves and was absolutely amazing. She was so much fun to be with, a beautiful energy and she made me feel absolutely stunning. As someone who doesn’t tend to glam up a lot I was a bit anxious of not looking myself but my gosh I felt a million dollars. She used my inspo pics and absolutely nailed what my goal was. It made such a difference to how much I loved my final look and my photographs too and I am so so pleased. My hair and make up held in the high temperatures of early September and I was devastated to take it off/brush it out at the end of the day, I wanted to look like that forever! For anyone hesitant to book a HMUA for their elopement I 10000% encourage it as I was in two minds of whether it would be “worth it” but I couldn’t have been more wrong.
