Falling In Love

Many people get bummed to see summer come to a close. With the end of swimsuit season, no more fruity drinks with umbrellas and the days beginning to get shorter- it’s easy to see why folks could get the blues.

But then there are those people who absolutely LOVE the autumn!! Those that start at NYE to count down the days to Halloween and Thanksgiving. Those that want ALL the pumpkin spice things. Those who were meant to live in boots, jeans and flannels. For those people, this is a time to rejoice!!! This week we’ve put together a list of our favorite fall wedding trends- hope you love them as much as we do!!

METALLICS

Rose golds, platinums, bronze and silvers have been hot on the scene for about a year on every thing from phone cases to popular eyeshadow pallets, serving trays and home decor.

And as so many trends before, as goes fashion industry, so goes the wedding industry shortly after. This fall expect to see these luxurious and lavish tones EVERY WHERE- bridesmaids dresses, cakes, table scape, stationary and seating charts and just about any where else brides and grooms can cover in these glitzy hues.

GAMES

Since the temperatures are far more tolerable than they were just a few weeks ago, plan on spending a bit of the cocktail hours playing laid back games with family friends and the bridal party.

A little bit of play time with Jenga, Bocce, or Corn Hole is a total blast for guests to play at the beginning of a reception but they are also a smart move to keep your loved ones occupied while bride, groom and wedding party are taking the formal photos after the ceremony.

Games are also a great gift idea for couples starting their new life together (many of whom are also moving in together or getting a new place to live) and one of my favorite features is that its a great opportunity for more personalizations and monograms!!!! Which weddings can always use more of!!

FURRY FRIENDS

Im not exactly sure why the trend of absolutely adorable animals at a wedding seems to have really picked up right as fall kicked off- maybe its the drop in the temperature, maybe there is a petting zoo connection…..who knows, but I am loving it!!!

There is a whole mini- industry popping up where you can rent these lovely llama guests for your wedding or any other special occasion!!

From bunny, llama, fancy chickens, goats, mini- pigs….expect to see the whole farm at weddings this season. Here are some more really adorable animal inspired weddings.

BIG PAPER FLORALS

Whether using these giant hand crafted blooms as bouquets or as background decor, paper flowers area great choice because they are just so incredibly versatile. You have so many more options and avenues to be unique and expressive when you are creating something on your own.

If you elect to make them your self, they could be quite a bit more time intensive than simply ordering fresh cuts, but there is no denying that paper and fabric are quite a bit less expensive than the real things. See some of the best tutorials we found on the web here, for making them your self.
