Hi there, Megan from Makeup in the 702 coming at you with another outstanding topic this week. What brushes do you REALLY need? Let me preface this by saying, I do believe your fingers are amazing tools and in my opinion are the best for cream/liquid products like concealers and liquid highlighters. The warmth of your fingers really helps to spread and keep the consistently of the product while working. I would also like to point out that not all brushes are equal. Like most anything, you get what you pay for and that could not be truer when it comes to brushes. So, let’s get into it shall we.
Foundation Brush: Marc Jacobs- Sculpting Foundation Brush $48
Contouring: NARS Ita Kabuki Brush $55

Blush Brush: Sigma Beauty F25 Tapered Face Brush $34

Crease: Tom Ford Eye Shadow Blend Brush 13 $57

Eye Liner: Laura Mercier Flat Eye Liner Brush $26

Lip Brush: Chanel Angled Lip Brush $35

Brows: Anastasia Beverly Hills Duo Brush #7B $18

Shadow: Mac Eye Shader Brush 239 $20
It’s flat and round to press shadow directly on the lid use the tip along the lash line.Fan Brush- Morphe Large Soft Fan Brush

Brushes are tools and should be treated as such. Proper cleaning and maintenance and storage will help keep your investment for a lifetime. Won’t you join me next week for the second in this 2-part series on how to deep clean your brushes and how to sanitize them after every use. I’ll share tips on storage and what to do if your brush starts to lose hair’s.
