Three weeks ago we introduced you to Angelina Yarbrough, Mrs. North Dakota for the 2015 Mrs. United States pageant. Well here it is- day one of the pageant with a 4:30 am call time for Miss Angelina Yarbrough. Excitement is in the air as the 2015 Mrs. Untied States pageant is officially underway!
For the candidates it is the personal experience of a lifetime. Contestants enlist the support of their husbands and join other contestants to compete for the prestigious Mrs. United States crown. This week we will be celebrating the adventures of Mrs. North Dakota and cheering her every step of the way. For the next 3 days there will be personal interviews, swim suit competition , evening gown completion as well as an impromptu question asked of the 10 finalists.
Day 2 of the Mrs. United States pageant brings excitement, gorgeous gowns and of course always representing their respective state.
“Starting with the state costumes!! I am the Sunflower, from the state that grows more sunflowers than anywhere in the U.S.!!”
Each day keeps getting better! Today we had our interviews and got to show the judges who we are and where we come from!
Day 3 Today is the final day. Each of the 50 contestants knows this is it and by evenings end the winner will be announced. I arrived at the South Point Hotel super early, while waiting downstairs prior to going up to Angelina’s room I was as nervous for all these girls as they were. One by one they pass me, some with curl sets, some with no makeup some with full makeup each giggling with excitement as they ride up the elevator to head to their prospective rooms to get ready. In just a short time the final 15 would be announced and then the winner, finally my team and I go up as well.
Here is the final days look for Angelina.
“It’s been a great experience to be at the national pageant this year. All we are ever expected to do in this life is our best and that’s what I did. I gave this opportunity all I had to give and I although I didn’t walk away with a top spot or title, I did walk away with much joy and gratitude to have been able to stand among an outstanding group of women. It has truly been an honor!”
Although Mrs.North Dakota did not win Mrs. United States she will always hold the crown in our eyes. Thank you so much for asking us to be such an amazing experience with you.
Congratulations to Mrs. Texas! You’ll do us all proud!
