Planning a wedding is an emotional and stressful life event.  We want so many people to share our joy and happiness with us.  Like many planning couples the story of Kelly & Angela is the same.  Today we bring you the story of Kelly & Angela a destination wedding couple from Vancouver,BC.

Quote from their wedding blog
Feb 2013 to Oct 2014-Planning commences for the event of the YEAR! The wedding! The wedding that everyone wanted to come to and see “two chicks” get hitched. What started as a 150 person local wedding on Granville Island to a rustic 80 person event at the family cabin to a quick getaway to the Vancouver Island….the final decision was made when Nevada legalized same sex unions. They jumped at the opportunity and decided to elope with just close friends and family by their side in Las Vegas.

It all began with friendship and workplace camaraderie in the Surrey Emergency Dept 6 1/2 years ago.  Their friendship developed over attending numerous after hour events, a mini vacation to Penticton and working long night shifts together.  Over the years they traveled to many cities together; Las Vegas, New Orleans, Memphis, Nashville and Los Angeles to name a few.  They renovated a house to build a place to call home together, experienced joy and hardships together and discovered how easy it was to love and be loved.

Which brings us to today! Makeup in the 702 had the pleasure of being a small part of this love story and we are so grateful to have met this wonderful couple. No one can express their experience with us better than those we have had the pleasure of working with. Here’s an excerpt from a review submitted by Angela & Kelly regarding their experience with the Makeup in the 702 team.

WOW!!! I don’t know where to begin. I choose Makeup in the 702 for my wedding day as I loved their portfolio as well as their amazing competitive rates. Megan was very professional from the start to end. The communication was amazing. As a destination bride from Vancouver BC, I was unable to do a trial run for hair and makeup…So I had a lot riding on them! They were my first vendors of the day and not going to lie, my heart was racing. I opened the door to my hotel room and to my surprise I was greeted by Megan, Crystal and Kiera (I was only expecting Crystal and Kiera). Megan immediately calmed my nerves but telling me she “couldn’t miss being a part of my special day”…From that point on I felt like a princess. Having an extra stylist was great as my sister decided last minute to get her hair done….She was ecstatic and loved the final product. I can’t stress enough how amazing these women were, they never made me feel rushed, they were so pleasant and engaging to be around.

These ladies are the real deal!!!! They know their stuff and work with your chosen look for the day. I’ve had my hair and makeup done before and never have I looked so good. Rates are amazing!!!! Pricing was all inclusive and it  included full makeup application, false lashes, hair styling, extensions and my own take away lipstick….not to forget my partner had her makeup done too all for that price.

I could go on and on and on! Thank you ladies for making us look amazing on my special day…….

Thank you Kelly & Angela for choosing us to be a part of your day!  We wish you a lifetime of happiness and joy!  Cheers and congratulations!

Persistence And Charm Gave Love A Chance

Today it’s our great pleasure to share the love story of Marco and Jueen with you.  It’s so amazing to me each and every day that we get to be a part of so many lives and so much joy.

“I think happiness is what makes you pretty. Period. Happy people are beautiful. They become like a mirror and they reflect that happiness.” – Drew Barrymore

It’s the happy people like Marco and Jueen that make our work so rewarding…..now for their story.

JM_1413“Our love story began back in 2010 when my husband, Marco, and I started working in P.F. Changs China Bistro. I had just made a dramatic job change to do something non-design related. He had just left a restaurant on the strip. It’s funny because when Marco first asked me out on a date, I said no. He thought I was playing hard to get but in reality I just wasn’t ready to date. With his persistence and charm I ended up giving him a chance. Technically our first date involved a horror movie which is ironic because we rarely ever watch them now. Fast forward almost 5 years later, we have a house together, have gotten married, and also became parents to our beautiful baby girl Camila, who’s now almost 4 months.

Marco and I really enjoy cooking together which is our favorite pass time. We love to make our food taste and look beautiful on the plate. Our dream one day is to open up our own place together and we are working towards it. Aside from that, Marco is a personal trainer by day, works in a Brazilian restaurant by night and I’m a portrait photographer. We are passionate about what we do and it shows.

You know you have a good relationship with your significant other when it’s so easy to be with them. We connect on the level that shocks me and we can read each other so well it’s almost creepy. Day in and day out, it’s never a battle and we also don’t have many debates or arguments. In addition, we are so thankful and grateful to have each other and all that is around us. Living together has taught me how to really care for someone. Not only must you be considerate of their things, understand give-and-take, and be kind to one another, you become a team that always strives to win. I truly believe that’s what we do.”

Brides and Grads Get Celebrity Treatment with Myrna Loy Photography

When we stop to think about the milestones in our lives few compare to our high school graduation and our wedding day.  Today we are talking with a Las Vegas Photographer that specializes in capturing the moments of those two paramount moments.
Welcome Myrna Loy Photography!!!

Capture
“Hi there! I am Myrna, owner and photographer for Myrna Loy Photography. I am a senior portrait and wedding photographer here in the beautiful Las Vegas. I have been photographing weddings for about 10 years now, 3 of those as my own business and the others as a second shooter for a photographer on the coast of North Carolina. I was excited to begin my own journey here in Las Vegas. I love coffee, the beach (which I miss dearly), spending time with my family and friends, shopping, fun jewelry, horses, and trying new things. I don’t like many sweets, but butter cream icing is my weakness.”

I’m not entirely sure if people truly understand or can appreciate the planning and thought that goes in to photographing a wedding can you tell us a little bit about your processes?

Wedding photography is not just about pulling out the camera and snapping photos during the wedding, but about capturing the moment. It is also about making sure the final product is perfection. An eight hour wedding could very well be about 20 hours of time dedicated to that couple. Between consults, planning, meeting, engagement sessions, the wedding, post-processing (editing), presenting the images, ordering, packaging, and everything in between, it is no short task. As a wedding photographer, I want to make sure that my and my couples and I are the right fit for each other. I feel that me and my clients should have that spark when we first talk, like it was meant to be. My clients are like my friends and they shall be treated like one. This also goes for my high school seniors in planning their perfect senior session.

I am a low volume wedding photographer. I want to make sure my clients get the attention they deserve, I only accept one wedding (or 2 elopements) per month. These beautiful couples get my full attention for the wedding day.”

You also specialize in portraits for graduating seniors what inspired you to choose that particular occasion to specialize in?

Graduating high school is a huge moment in a teenager’s life and I want to capture who they really are at the moment in time. I want them to look back and not just see a photo but be able to see all the fun they had throughout their senior year.

My seniors are investing in an awesome experience that they will remember forever. They will feel like a celebrity with all the outfits, locations, pro hair and makeup. They will for sure get that boost of confidence and images that their friends will envy. Seniors are so much fun to photograph!”

There are so many amazingly talented photographers here in Las Vegas, what are some the things you have done to add value to your services?

One distinction is that I offer professional makeup and hair to my brides and seniors as part of the package. They deserve to be pampered like a celeb for this special time in their lives. Makeup in the 702 has done such an amazing job and Megan you are a total sweetheart!

My wedding packages include the digitals, and album, and an engagement session. I want my couples to have something beautiful and tangible to walk away with and not just a USB of images. We have been married for 5 years and I have printed ONE image from our wedding. I want to make sure that this doesn’t happen to my clients. Our albums are fabulous heirloom quality and completely custom designed.

Weddings are just downright amazing and fun. Everything about them makes me giddy. From photographing the moment he pops the question to heading off into the sunset as newlyweds, I love it all. Psst, I still tear up at every single wedding just as if it were a family member or close friend of mine.

I am so in love with the scenery and the endless possibilities for weddings and portraits here in Las Vegas. I am a sucker for details and just head over heels in love with all things pretty. It is the little things that count just as much as those big moments. As you enjoy your day, I am there to make sure we document those moments for you to look back on and pass down for generations.

There are many amazing photographers out there that I admire, I love trying new things. I have always been an artist. I was obsessed with watercolor painting and still life pencil drawings. My mind is always going wild with new ideas and I am always excited to put them into action. My inspiration could spawn from something as simple as the colors of a pillow I saw in Home Goods.”

Discovering the joy with Kristen Joy Photography

We get to work with so many absolutely AMAZING photographers here our beautiful city of Las Vegas. Today we are so happy to introduce you to Kristen Joy Photography she truly is a “joy” to work with and seems to experience so much of her own joy from her work.

Happiness lies in the joy of achievement and the thrill of creative effort~Franklin D. Roosevelt

Kristen can you tell us a little bit about yourself and how you got started as a photographer?

Hmmmm, A little about me, I love weddings, I love all the little details and joy that comes from the day. I love working with brides and seeing their visions come to life. I originally started as a family photographer, when I received the chance to be a second shooter for an amazing photographer, I realized I was missing out on all the fun! I started in 2007 and have been photographing weddings ever since.

I especially love working with you at Makeup in the 702 because you are so talented at what you do. I work to make every individual client happy and it’s hard to find others in this town with the same mindset. I remember working with you on a shoot in the dry lake bed, when I told you my ideas, you were just as excited as I was. I love that you have passion for your work and joy shines through every email and phone call.”

What kind of misconceptions do you think people have about wedding photography?

There can be misconceptions about wedding photography, one that sticks out to me is, when a person sees the photos after the wedding or event and says, “Wow you must have a really nice camera.” It make me giggle a bit, because all though most wedding photographers do have nice cameras, we take our job seriously and consider ourselves artists. I happen to shoot a lot of film photography as well, my film camera probably cost me less than most peoples iphones, but I can produce beautiful works of art on that 35mm camera.

There are a millions benefits to hiring a professional photographer. One major benefit to hiring a professional photographer is you will be able to view your timeless memories over and over with the confidence that they will turn out. I hear people say, “my friend just bought a camera, so he is going to photograph my wedding.” My heart hurts a bit hearing that, you spend so much money on your wedding day and are risking losing those timeless photographs.”

Picture5

What challenges and inspires you?

I find so much inspiration in Las Vegas, not the Strip and casino Vegas, but the landscape, the Red Rocks, the Dry lake Beds, the succulents, our scenery is so diverse. I love the highlighting that our unique landscape adds to my photographs. I’m so thankful to work in such a fun and inspiring community like Las Vegas. We are a hub of amazing talent and it truly pushes me to be the top in field daily.”

Find joy in everything you choose to do. Every job, relationship, home… it’s your responsibility to love it, or change it”~Chuck Palahniuk

Gratuity etiquette 10 and your wedding or To tip or not to Tip

April 10, 2015

Ok ok ok, this Friday let’s get down and dirty and talk about- money.  Yes, I know a very touchy subject for some, but I felt it necessary to dive into the subject of  “the gratuity” other wise know as “tipping” in Sin City.  Often an overlooked expense when planning your wedding so let’s delve in to this traditional practice.

635603221072648708216670680_tips-gratuitiesLet’s begin with a little history; in the 16th century guests at English mansions were expected to give a “vail” or a small amount of money at the end of their visit for the servants and the extra work they had to do while there were guests.  The word “tip’ is actually an acronym, T.I.P. actually comes from “To Insure Promptitude” which is odd in and of itself in that a gratuity is not given prior to receiving services but rather after.

The dictionary definition for the word “gratuity” is a gift of money over and above payment due for services or something given without claim or demand.

Tipping is also a cultural practice. In a city like Las Vegas there are several opportunities in our day in which it has become customary to tip.  In addition to the usual waiter or waitress we have become accustomed to tipping the valet parking attendant, the door man, the bell hop, the change girl, the showroom usher and the bartender to name a few.  In fact tipping is SO customary in our city that the IRS gets their share of it as well.  Employees that fall in to a job class defined as as tipped employee are often times paid a lower hourly rate because the IRS has made the assumption that the average amount of tips earned maintains the deficiency in the hourly rate.

In many countries tipping is not a part of their day to day practices. Tips and their amount are a matter of social custom, and the custom varies between countries and settings. In some locations tipping is discouraged and considered insulting; while in some other locations tipping is expected from customers.  In Japan for instance tipping is not a part of the culture. It is not expected and can cause confusion.  Japanese people see tipping as insulting.  Let me add one more twist to this whole tipping scenario for you, as if I haven’t given you enough to think about already.  In some regions a service charge is automatically added to your bill.

tipping-wedding-vendors-who-to-tip-how-much-amount-to-tip-wedding-vendors-tips-wedding-etiquetteSo how does this all fit in to your wedding plans?  Las Vegas remains the wedding capitol of the world and we are privileged to work with couples from virtually every country and  culture so what is a planning couple to do and what should a wedding service provider expect.

The concept of tipping is not itself difficult to understand but the who to tip and how much to tip those providing services for your wedding can be a little tricky to navigate.  This being somewhat of a hot topic we turned to “The Knot” for some recommendations.

Wedding Planner

Wedding planners won’t likely expect anything; however, if yours did a great job you can always offer a token of your appreciation. (Note: Non-monetary thank-yous like professional photos of the wedding for the planner’s portfolio can go a long way too.) Approximately 50 percent of couples do tip their planners — typically those with more opulent weddings.

Protocol: Optional

The Standard: Up to $500, or a nice gift

When to Tip: The bride should hand off the envelope at the end of the reception, or, she should send a thank-you note with photos or a check after the honeymoon.

Wedding Hair Stylist and Makeup Artist

This is one area where a gratuity is definitely expected. Tip between 15 – 20 percent just as you would in a hair salon, and consider giving a little extra if there’s a crisis

Protocol: Expected

The Standard: 15 – 25 percent, depending upon the quality of service

When to Tip: At the end of your service

Wedding Delivery and Set-up Staff

Slip a few dollars to anyone delivering important items to the site ( wedding cake , flowers, or sound system). And if a lot of gear needs to be brought in and set up (tents, chairs, or port-a-potties), the workers deserve a tip too.

Protocol: Expected

The Standard: $5 – $10 per person

When to Tip: Drop off cash envelopes the day before the wedding to the catering manager so the person accepting deliveries can turn the tip.

Wedding Ceremony Officiant

If your officiant is affiliated with a church or synagogue, you’re often expected to make a donation to that institution. If you’re a member you’ll probably want to give a larger amount than if you’re not. However, if you’re getting married there and they’re charging you to use the space, feel free to give a smaller amount. If you’re using a nondenominational officiant, no tip is required because they will charge you for their time.

Protocol:

Expected (depending on officiant)

The Standard: Donate $500+ to the church or synagogue, or, for a nondenominational officiant, an optional tip of $50 – $100

When to Tip: Most ceremony fees are required prior to the wedding. Otherwise, have the best man pass the cash envelope at the rehearsal dinner if the officiant is in attendance.

Wedding Ceremony Musicians

If you worked with a mini orchestra to come up with the perfect score for your service (and they pulled it off flawlessly), consider showing some monetary thanks for their talent. However, you probably don’t have to tip the solo church organist who was required to play.

Protocol: Optional

The Standard: $15 – $20 per musician

When to Tip: At the end of the ceremony.

Wedding Photographer/Videographer

You’re not expected to give your shutterbugs any dough beyond their normal fees. Yet if the wedding photographer or videographer doesn’t own the studio, consider tipping each person (or give a certain amount with a thank-you note to disperse to staff).

Protocol: Optional

The Standard: $50 – $200 per vendor

When to Tip: At the end of the reception.

Wedding Reception Staff

This type of staff includes the on-site coordinator, maitre d’, and banquet manager. A service charge (typically 2 percent) is almost always built in to the food and drink fee, so check your contract. If the gratuity is not included, tip as follows.

Protocol: Expected

The Standard: 15 – 20 percent of the food and drink fee (based on labor, not the cost), or $200 – $300 for the maitre d’.

When to Tip: If it’s covered in the contract, the final bill is typically due before the reception. Otherwise, have the father of the bride or best man hand the envelope to the maitre d’ at the end of the reception since you will need to know the final tab to calculate the percentage.

Wedding Reception Attendants

When it comes to bartenders, waitstaff, parking, bathroom, and coat-room attendants the rules of tipping are dictated by your contract. If the service fee is included, consider doling out extra only if the service was exceptional. If it’s not included, ask ahead of time how many attendants will be working your wedding and calculate on a per person basis.

Protocol: Optional, based on contract

The Standard: $20 – $25 per bartender or waiter; $1 per guest for coat room and parking attendants; $1 per car

When to Tip: Although tips are traditionally passed out at the end of the event, you could alternately distribute them at the beginning of the evening, to encourage all the workers to give you great service.

Wedding Reception Band or DJ

Whether you hire 12-piece swing band or grooving to a DJ, tipping musicians is completely optional. (Depending on the quality of the job and how willing they were to follow your ideal playlist!) And don’t forget about any sound technicians they bring with them.

Protocol: Optional, yet preferred

The Standard: $20 – $25 per musician; $50 – $150 for DJs

When to Tip: At the end of the reception, by the best man.

Wedding Transportation

Again, check your contract, as gratuity is usually included. If it isn’t, plan to tip provided they show up on time and don’t get lost!

Protocol: Expected

The Standard: 15 – 20 percent of the total bill

When to Tip: At the end of the night or after the last ride. If you used a separate company for the guest buses, designate a bus captain to hand the driver a tip, otherwise, this duty falls to the best man.

When in doubt the best rule of thumb is to follow the customs of the country you are in.  CNTraveler has a fantastic guide on gratuities in 50 countries if you would like to learn more about tipping in other cultures.    Lastly, for those receiving tips as a part of their compensation, above all just be gracious both in accepting and not receiving a gratuity.  For those giving if you aren’t sure just ask…. if it is customary they WILL let you know. When a client asks me about a gratuity I tell them “it’s never expected but always appreciated.”

Once in awhile, Right in the middle of an ordinary life, Love gives us a fairy tale.

This weeks blog post is pretty near and dear to my heart. My step son Jace has asked my very dear friend Kylie to marry her. The wedding is set for September 19th In Pensacola Florida where they both grew up. I’ve know both these amazing hipsters since before I married my own husband TJ, Jace’s dad.

Picture6

Let’s rewind 10 years before Kylie was 21 and as Jace was just moving to Las Vegas. Even back then I knew these 2 had an electric relationship with honor, trust and complete and utter love for each other.  These two have been together longer as boyfriend and girlfriend than many marriages last- now that says something right there. They’ve withstood 3000 miles distance, job changes, moves and of course the everyday things that happen in life. All the while staying very committed to each other with a love that is so recognizable that anyone could see.

For years my husband and I wondered if they would “ever get married”.  Even when asked Jace and Kylie would say- were great just the way we are and it’s true they were perfect just as they were. Throughout the years together they’ve built a home, raised 3 of the cutest pitbulls you’ll ever meet and supported each other careers and nurtured each other to the fine young adults they are today. Jace describes themselves as “modern hippies”.

Picture2

Jace own’s more VW’s than I can count and recently Kylie is on the VW kick with the purchase of her new car.  On any given day you’ll find these 2 soaking up everything las Vegas has to offer on the music and art scene with a craft beer of choice or an Old Style in their hand. They love to be down town and never miss a First Friday.  I can honestly say I’ve never met anyone, much less 2 people that soak up so much of life and live it to the fullest each and every day.

Picture5

Well now the day has finally come this very commitment couple decided to take it to the next step. Marriage… I’m delighted to share with you the images from their engagement session with Taylored Memories Photo taken right here in Downtown Las Vegas in the Arts District and the Arts Factory. The love and joy they share jumps out in these photos.

Congratulations to my son Jace and so excited to call my dear friend Kylie daughter. You both have made a great choice and we are all looking forward to witnessing the I do’s… yes I’m crying even writing this.

The Southern Nevada desert provides some pretty spectacular backdrops for outdoor photo shoots.  There are so many options we won’t possibly be able to share them with you all at once but we have selected a few pretty spectacular locations and images to share with you today from Scenic Las Vegas Weddings wedding planning and photography.  With the city of Las Vegas being the wedding capital of the world you can plan virtually any wedding senario you can imagine.  Today we are so happy to introduce you to a vendor we love, Scenic Las Vegas weddings!   They are not your typical wedding planning company, they offer amazing locations, heartfelt ceremonies and stunning photographs that you will cherish forever.

A common misconception when you think of planning a Las Vegas wedding is that the only type of wedding offered in Las Vegas is a cheesy chapel wedding and that is definitely not the case. There are so many incredible locations in and around Las Vegas. Some of the most incredible locations are just a short trip out of the city limits. Places like Valley of Fire, Red Rock at Spring Mountain Ranch, Lake Mead National Recreation Area, and Las Vegas Nelson Ghost Town. Ghost town? WHAT? This old Nevada mining town offers up some incredible props and backdrops and is hot spot for Las Vegas photographers. Old barns, a saloon, gas pumps, old rusted-out vehicles, a water pump and even the remains of a plane crash. Of course this is still Vegas so you know we have to have a little “Elvis” in there somewhere, one of the scenes from Kevin Costner’s “3000 Miles to Graceland” was filmed in Nelson. Visit this gallery on the Scenic Las Vegas Weddings website for some really unique photos taken in Nelson.

Digital or disposable, color or black and white, natural or candle light; professional photographic makeup and professional hair styling will ensure that you are ready to face a day in front of the camera.  Today we are just thrilled to introduce you to the Emerics!  We’ve had many years of experiences together and I can’t tell you how excited I am to feature your then today on our blog.

Q & A with Jessie & Jason Emeric

Jessie and Jason why don’t we begin with an introduction can you tell our readers a little bit about yourselves?

311687_575240825840795_1565928509_n

We are Jessie & Jason Emeric. We’re wedding photographers for happy couples in love. We’ve been photographing weddings together for over 10 years and we absolutely love what we do. We believe in telling the complete story of your wedding day and capturing all the must-have shots, but also the fun moments in between.

We love working with Makeup in the 702 and sigh a breath of relief when our brides tell us they’ll be using Makeup in the 702 because we know they’ll be in good hands. They will feel amazing and look gorgeous, making our job super easy 🙂

Awwww Thank you! I can’t tell you how much that means to both me and my team. It means a lot to us to create a memorable experience for both the bride and our colleagues.

Let’s take a moment to talk about planning. What do you want a planning couple to know about your business?

We’d like couples to know that wedding photography isn’t just a business for us. We are truly passionate about weddings. We seriously get excited for each and every couple we meet and have the privilege of photographing.

What are some of the misconceptions about your service?

Some people may not realize all the work that goes into wedding photography. Wedding photography is a lot more than just having a fancy camera and showing up at the wedding. There’s also a lot more that happens after the photographs are taken on the wedding day. A lot of work goes into post-production, making sure our couples have the best wedding photographs.

canyon_gate_country_club_las_vegas_wedding-03Choosing a wedding photographer is one of the biggest decisions a planning couple will make after all, wedding pictures are a cherished keepsake, passed down through generations, and the only commemoration of the thousands of hours and dollars spent to plan one of the most important days of your life. What are the benefits of using your service?

A few benefits of having us photograph your wedding day is that we love being there for our couples and it shows. Every wedding and every couple is different and we treat all our couples as individuals, as friends. We know being photographed can be intimidating for some folks, but know that we will make you feel comfortable, relaxed, and beautiful on your wedding day.

Every bride wants their photos to be as unique as they are I’m certain that must be a challenging aspect of your work. Where do you find your inspiration?

We find inspiration everywhere and anywhere. We love spending time outdoors and being open to new opportunities and fun times. It’s often in these moments when inspiration is at it’s best! We love bright colors, happy images, and keeping things fresh.

Is there anything else you would like to share with our readers today?

We’d love to hear from them and learn all about what they believe in. We want to capture a bit of their love story! We’re based in Las Vegas, but we’ll travel wherever love takes them!

Thank you so much for spending some time with me today and sharing with our readers. We look forward to sharing many more years of experiences with you!theemerics

Without further adieu we are happy to share with you the love story of Jocelyn & Lance

Jocelyn and Lance met at the Greater Philadelphia Sushi and Sake Meetup Group. Both were recent transplants to the Philly area. Both happened to see an email saying that this highly popular meetup had available seats for dinner at a local sushi place. Both went to the sushi dinner mostly looking to make new friends and didn’t necessarily expect to find love. In fact, Jocelyn wasn’t looking at all! After meeting a few times, Jocelyn and Lance realized they had a lot in common, enthusiasts of digital photography (though Nikon and Canon rivals), foodies, but also both lovers of being active outdoors with hiking, cycling, jogging, and rollerblading. Realizing that “when you know, you know” like Lance’s aunt liked to say, life quickly fell comfortably into place for the two of them and talk of a future life together began.

The wedding was planned for December, considering 12/13/14 or 12/14/14. Jocelyn’s father said that 12/13/14 would be the most auspicious date since in Chinese, certain numbers are lucky numbers because of what the number sounds like. So when the numbers 121314 are read individually, the numbers take on the meaning of “once love, love forever”, a very popular date for those of Chinese heritage. The only problem was that this date was extremely popular, particularly in a city like Vegas. So the perfect alternative was to have a small official casual wedding with family on 12/13/14 and a more formal ceremony and reception the next day. Double the celebration and double the happiness.

Congratulations and best wishes for a lifetime of happiness from all of us at Makeup In The 702

Creating the perfect wedding look! Wedding makeup doesn’t come easy every bride is different every venue is different and every photographer is different. Your makeup artist and hair stylist are the very first vendor you interact with on your wedding day, and we take that responsibility very seriously. We understand how vital our role is, especially for weddings, and we set the tone for the entire wedding day. But we don’t feel like that’s pressure, just an awesome responsibility.

At the risk of sounding a bit crass I have to put this out there, this is a service that you do not want to cheap out on. Hair and makeup can make or break the history of your wedding day photos. At the end of the day when the dancing is done and you’ve dashed off to begin your life anew the only thing that will be left to help you re-live the happiest day of your life are the magical moments captured in the photography.

With Las Vegas being the wedding capital of the World we meet brides from everywhere and this unpredictable desert weather can be a challenge in any season that is why highly recommend taking your makeup for a test drive so to speak and schedule a demo day.
